Laver Cakes with Bacon

Hello! I'm DELICIOUS TASTY's first guest blogger! OH YES! Delicious Tasty could do with a bit of extra class around here, class I can provide. So here goes.

Sometimes, you just get an ingredient that you have no idea what it is or what you do with it, in this case, LAVERBREAD, an odd paste made from seaweed.

This recipe will only feed yourself - double up or whatever for multiple people.

You need per person:
120g tinned Laverbread
30g Oatmeal
Some goddamn streaky bacon - however much you like because bacon is DELICIOUS

Step 1
Mix the Laverbread and the Oatmeal up!

Step 2
Shape the mixture into three 2-inch wide cakes, like fish cakes

Step 3
Now fry up that bacon - keep the fat in the pan when you're done, don't wash it away!

Step 4
Use that fat left over from frying the bacon to fry the cakes! For the purpose of delicious.
Fry them for 3 minutes each, patting them to keep them in shape, occasionally turning them.

Step 5
Look at this thing. It is wonderful. Their flavours compliment each other well, so have them together. Put each of the tasty things in the same bite and you will not regret it.

Well whaddya know. It worked a treat. It's filling, and interesting. But the Laverbread isn't very common, and isn't cheap for a one-person meal. Eh, whatever. It's something that was made and was delicious.

Marmite and Cheese Pizza!

Welcome to the second installment of the delicious tasty blog!

Today we will be discussing the ELABORATE CONCOCTION of MARMITE AND CHEESE

(on a pizza)

This is a very simple recipe, all you need is:

2 pizza bases
Margerine
Marmite
Grated cheese

This recipe is so simple we will simply show you the pictures and describe the recipe afterwards.

Ok the recipe is simple:

1: Butter the pizza bases lightly to make spreading the marmite A LOT easier.
2: Spread said marmite.
3: Sprinkle grated cheese liberally.
4: Sprinkle some mixed herbs on those beasts.
5: Bake at 220*C in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
______________________________________________

This recipe was relatively delicious, HOWEVER, this recipe is certainly not for those who aren't big fans of marmite and especially not for those that don't enjoy being thirsty for a few hours..
Although a successful and filling meal, the next attempt will probably involve more cheese or less marmite or a combination of both, also perhaps traditional cheese pizza with a small amount of marmite squirted on top or something...

Spiced Potato Wedges and Burger Stew

Greeting readers!

Welcome to the first installment of the DELICIOUS TASTY EXPERIENCE.

First, let us introduce ourselves.

We are university students that discovered an affinity for the creation of wonderful deliciousness out of next to no ingredients and are willing to share our discoveries with the world!

Let it begin!

For this recipe you will need the following:

5 small potatoes
Various herbs and spices
Cooking oil
Gravy granules
3-4 medium size burgers (or two large)

_______________________________________________

1: Peel and chop the potatoes into wedges, lightly coat with the oil and apply the herbs and spices to taste

2: Place into a preheated oven at 200*C and bake for 20-25 minutes

3: Half way through the baking time remove and turn the wedges, at this point its time to begin the burger stew!

(sorry for the picture quality)

4: Bring to the boil a saucepan full of water then add the gravy granules to taste and thickness desired (although its recommended to leave it thinner than you usually would as it will thicken with the burger juices).

5: Once boiling, dice the burgers into reasonable chunks and add to the gravy broth, keep it on the heat till the burgers are cooked through, this wont take more than about 10 minutes which should be right about when the wedges are coming out of the oven

6: Final stage! Apply burger stew to wedges and enjoy!

(We assure you it tastes a lot better than it looks!)
